How to get to our hotels

Kali Hotels has two houses in the historic centre of Santa Marta and one lodge by Tayrona National Park, about 40 minutes apart by car. This page explains how to reach each of them, from the airport, from the city and from the park, and where to leave your car.

From the airport to the historic centre

Simón Bolívar airport (SMR) is 30 to 40 minutes from the historic centre by taxi. Transfers and day tours to Tayrona are run by our partner Girona Travels; see their day trip to Cabo San Juan.

Casa de Leda (Calle 18 #4-38) and Casa de Isabella (Carrera 2 #19-20) are both in the historic centre, a short walk from the Parque de los Novios, so most of the centre can be explored on foot.

From Santa Marta to Villa María Tayrona and the park

Villa María is 40 minutes by car from Santa Marta on the Troncal del Caribe, the road to Riohacha, 4 km before the El Zaino entrance of Tayrona National Park (Km 35).

If you prefer public transport, buses to Tayrona leave from the Mercado Público, at Calle 11 and Carrera 11 in Santa Marta, every 15 to 20 minutes from 6:00 AM. Ask the driver for "El Zaino", the main entrance. Buses back to Santa Marta pass the gate until about 6:30 PM, while the park gates close at 5:00 PM.

Parking in the historic centre

Casa de Leda and Casa de Isabella have a nearby partner car park with 24-hour security: RCBA Parking.

Where our three houses are

Casa de Leda (Calle 18 #4-38) is in the historic centre, a short walk from the Parque de los Novios and the new Marina, with a rooftop pool and a spa.

Casa de Isabella (Carrera 2 #19-20) is a block from the Parque de los Novios, with a courtyard pool and a rooftop overlooking the bay.

Villa María (Km 35 Troncal del Caribe) is a jungle lodge 40 minutes from Santa Marta, with bungalows, a hilltop pool overlooking the jungle and the Caribbean Sea, and its own restaurant.

Many guests split their stay: three nights in the historic centre for the culture and the restaurants, then three nights at Villa María to explore Tayrona Park and unwind in the jungle.
